Lorraine’s love for film began with editing Super 8 movies with her dad in Aberdeen, Scotland. Decades later, she’s written screenplays across genres—from classic rom-coms (including a magical-realism Christmas tale) and a dark Scottish comedy to a neo-noir melodrama, a serial-killer thriller, a dystopian TV pilot, an historical drama, and an epic romance spanning decades betwee historic Buenas Aires and contemporary London.
Her scripts have received numerous accolades including Best Script Writer at the Toronto International Women’s Film Festival. She wrote and produced the indie feature MISMO (https://bit.ly/3TrANAq), holds an MA in Filmmaking from Staffordshire University, and today coordinates James Dalessandro’s weekly Pro Screenwriting Master Class.
