Analysis Exercise
Rewrite any scene from the screenplay with a clear 'want vs. obstacle' structure: give Cal a specific, urgent want (e.g., rent due tomorrow, a call he must avoid) and a specific obstacle (the app glitches, a character refuses to cooperate, a physical barrier). Focus on dramatizing the struggle, not just the result.
Take a scene from the script and replace all visual description with sensory details from sound, smell, touch, and temperature. Then integrate only the most effective one or two details back into the original scene.
Write a scene from the script from Cal's first-person perspective, focusing exclusively on his physical sensations (heart rate, breathing, trembling, heat) and internal reactions (fear, curiosity, dread). Then translate the most powerful beats back into third-person action lines.
